I am a documentary style photographer who grew up in Whakatu, Nelson. My father took an occasional beautiful photograph and my mother made beautiful garments. Now based in Te Awa Kairangi, Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand, I have lived in the Lower Hutt suburb of Waiwhetu for a number of years with my three children where I enjoy friendships, gardening and walking in the hills.

I like pushing the boundaries of traditional family photography into the realm of documentary. I am intrigued by capturing and exploring relationships as they unfold before me. I am always seeking for the moments in-between moments. Collaboration and connection are important, finding beauty in the imperfections of life. The nuances of every day life becoming beautiful portraits. Outrageous moments always outweigh the inane. Personality and quirkiness of individuals and families are embraced and celebrated.
